A new Theatre Festival for Leipzig
4. - 7. August 2022, Budde-Haus Leipzig
With KNALLBRAUSE festival, we, the Freies Ensemble Jedermensch, want to provide a stage for the Leipzig independent theatre scene. We want to offer opportunities for artists on the brink of professionalism to tell their stories in their own way.
We want to try making this festival accessible for as many people as possible. That's why we are offering a ticketing system with three different pricing options. Additionally, our program is not exclusively German, in order to provide access for people without German language skills. There will be English language material in our program booklet for every event.
We also aspire to create a space of open exchange and facilitate communication between artists and guests that goes beyond the usual showing of a play. We offer workshops as well as guided discussion rounds with different thematic focuses. For exchange pertaining to the works being shown at our festival, we offer official follow-up talks.
Thematically, we want to create space for people and topics that we, as young people in the independent scene, feel are important and deserve to be discussed in a broader manner.
